Western Blot (WB) of anti-CHCHD3 antibody

Western blot analysis of extracts of A431 cells, using CHCHD3 antibody.
Rabbit Anti-CHCHD3 Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS9603482

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-CHCHD3 antibody

MBS9603482 at 1/100 staining Mouse lung tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.

NCBI Summary for CHCHD3

The protein encoded by this gene is an inner mitochondrial membrane scaffold protein. Absence of the encoded protein affects the structural integrity of mitochondrial cristae and leads to reductions in ATP production, cell growth, and oxygen consumption. This protein is part of the mitochondrial contact site and cristae organizing system (MICOS). Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. UniProt Comments for CHCHD3

Component of the MICOS complex, a large protein complex of the mitochondrial inner membrane that plays crucial roles in the maintenance of crista junctions, inner membrane architecture, and formation of contact sites to the outer membrane. Has also been shown to function as a transcription factor which binds to the BAG1 promoter and represses BAG1 transcription. Plays an important role in the maintenance of the MICOS complex stability and the mitochondrial cristae morphology (PubMed:25781180).
