Rabbit Anti-MED22 Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS9609931

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-MED22 antibody

MBS9609931 at 1/100 staining Human kidney tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.

NCBI Summary for MED22

This gene encodes a protein component of the mediator complex, which functions in the regulation of transcription by bridging interactions between gene-specific regulatory factors, RNA polymerase II, and general transcription factors. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been observed. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]

UniProt Comments for MED22

Component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. Mediator functions as a bridge to convey information from gene-specific regulatory proteins to the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. Mediator is recruited to promoters by direct interactions with regulatory proteins and serves as a scaffold for the assembly of a functional preinitiation complex with RNA polymerase II and the general transcription factors.
