PPA1 Antibody – Rabbit Polyclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS9607485

Description: PPA1(Inorganic pyrophosphatase) is also named as IOPPP, PP and PPase. It maintains the thermodynamic favorability of these reactions by catalyzing the hydrolysis of pyrophosphates into organic phosphates, which are then exported across the cell… More details

Western Blot (WB) of anti-PPA1 antibody

Western blot analysis of extracts of human heart, using PPA1 antibody. The lane on the left is treated with the antigen-specific peptide.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-PPA1 antibody

MBS9607485 at 1/100 staining Human lymph node tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.

NCBI Summary for PPA1

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the inorganic pyrophosphatase (PPase) family. PPases catalyze the hydrolysis of pyrophosphate to inorganic phosphate, which is important for the phosphate metabolism of cells. Studies of a similar protein in bovine suggested a cytoplasmic localization of this enzyme. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
