Western Blot (WB) of anti-TIA1 antibody

Western blot analysis of TIA1 expression in SKOV3 (A), Hela (B), mouse brain (C), rat brain (D) whole cell lysates.
Rabbit Anti-TIA1 Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS8247691

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-TIA1 antibody

Immunohistochemical analysis of TIA1 staining in human colon cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
Rabbit Anti-TIA1 Polyclonal Antibody, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) – Cat# MBS8247691

Immunofluorescence (IF) of anti-TIA1 antibody

Immunofluorescent analysis of TIA1 staining in SKOV3 cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 °C in a humidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a DyLight 594-conjugated secondary antibody (red) in PBS at room temperature in the dark.
Rabbit Anti-TIA1 Polyclonal Antibody, Immunofluorescence (IF) – Cat# MBS8247691

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-TIA1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for TIA1

The product encoded by this gene is a member of a RNA-binding protein family and possesses nucleolytic activity against cytotoxic lymphocyte (CTL) target cells. It has been suggested that this protein may be involved in the induction of apoptosis as it preferentially recognizes poly(A) homopolymers and induces DNA fragmentation in CTL targets. The major granule-associated species is a 15-kDa protein that is thought to be derived from the carboxyl terminus of the 40-kDa product by proteolytic processing. Alternative splicing resulting in different isoforms of this gene product has been described in the literature. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for TIA1

TIA1: Involved in alternative pre-RNA splicing and regulation of mRNA translation by binding to AU-rich elements (AREs) located in mRNA 3' untranslated regions (3' UTRs). Possesses nucleolytic activity against cytotoxic lymphocyte target cells. May be involved in apoptosis. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
