Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-VEGFR2 antibody

Immunohistochemistry Analysis: Representative lot data. Paraffin-embedded mouse embryo vascular endothelium tissue was prepared using heat-induced epitope retrieval in citrate buffer, pH 6.0. Immunostaining was performed using a 1:100 dilution of Anti-KDR/Flk-1/VEGFR2. Reactivity was detected using the IHC-Select Detection Kit Staining pattern appears to be restricted endothelial cells with no smooth muscle involvement.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-VEGFR2 antibody

Western Blotting Analysis: Representative lot data. PAE cells transfected with CSF/VEGFR2 chimera and treated with CSF was probed with Anti-KDR/Flk-1/VEGFR2 (1:1,000 dilution). Proteins were visualized using a Donkey Anti Rabbit IgG secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates KDR/Flk-1/VEGFR (~150/180kD).

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-VEGFR2 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for VEGFR2

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a major growth factor for endothelial cells. This gene encodes one of the two receptors of the VEGF. This receptor, known as kinase insert domain receptor, is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase. It functions as the main mediator of VEGF-induced endothelial proliferation, survival, migration, tubular morphogenesis and sprouting. The signalling and trafficking of this receptor are regulated by multiple factors, including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin alphaVbeta3, T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase, etc.. Mutations of this gene are implicated in infantile capillary hemangiomas. [provided by RefSeq, May 2009]

UniProt Comments for VEGFR2

VEGFR2: a receptor tyrosine kinase of the VEGFR family. High affinity receptor for VEGF and VEGF-C. Ligand binding induces autophosphorylation and activation. Activated receptor recruits proteins including Shc, GRB2, PI3K, Nck, SHP-1 and SHP-2. Plays a key role in vascular development and regulation of vascular permeability.
