Product Categories/Family for anti-NR1 antibody

Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-NR1 antibody
Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP)
Application Notes for anti-NR1 antibody
IHC: 1:50 detected NR1 in normal rat hippocampus.
WB: 1ug/ml detected NR1 in 10ug of rat brain microsomal tissue lysate.
IP: 10ug from a previous lot precipitated NR1 from rat brain microsomal RIPA lysate.
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-NR1 antibody

Western Blot Analysis: Rat brain microsomal tissue lysate was probed with MBS629605 (1ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) Donkey Anti-Rabbit and chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates NR1 (~120kD).
Rabbit Anti-NR1 Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS6490482

Western Blot (WB) of anti-NR1 antibody

Western Blot Analysis: Lambda phosphatase untreated and treated rat brain microsomal tissue lysate was probed with MBS629605 (1ug/ml); untreated (lane 1) and treated (lane 2). Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) Donkey Anti-Rabbit and chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates NR1 (~ 120kD).
Rabbit Anti-NR1 Polyclonal Antibody, Western Blot (WB) – Cat# MBS6490482

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-NR1 antibody

Paraffin-embedded normal rat hippocampus tissue was prepared using heat-induced epitope retrieval in citrate buffer, pH 6.0. Immunostaining was performed using a 1:50 dilution ofMBS629605. Reactivity was detected using the IHC-Select Detection Kit. Staining pattern appears to be restricted to the cytoplasm. Fig. 1 Low mag. and Fig. 2 High mag.

Immunoprecipitation (IP) of anti-NR1 antibody

Immunoprecipitation Analysis: 10ug MBS629605 immunoprecipitated NR1 from 500ug of rat brain microsomal RIPA lysate.

NCBI Summary for NR1

subunit of NMDA-preferring ionotropic glutamate receptors; may play a role in long term potentiation [RGD, Feb 2006]

UniProt Comments for NR1

NMDA receptor subtype of glutamate-gated ion channels possesses high calcium permeability and voltage-dependent sensitivity to magnesium. Mediated by glycine. Plays a key role in synaptic plasticity, synaptogenesis, excitotoxicity, memory acquisition and learning. It mediates neuronal functions in glutamate neurotransmission. Is involved in the cell surface targeting of NMDA receptors.
