Western Blot (WB) of anti-VCL antibody

Western blot analysis of Vinculin phosphorylation expression in forskolin treated HeLa whole cell lysates, The lane on the left is treated with the antigen-specific peptide.
Rabbit Anti-VCL Polyclonal Antibody, Western Blot (WB) – Cat# MBS9600977

Immunofluorescence (IF) of anti-VCL antibody

MBS9600977 staining HepG2 cells by ICC/IF. Cells were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% saponin prior to blocking in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 37 degree C. The primary antibody was diluted 1/400 and incubated with the sample for 1 hour at 37 degree C. A Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated goat polyclonal to rabbit IgG (H+L), diluted 1/600 was used as secondary antibody.
Rabbit Anti-VCL Polyclonal Antibody, Immunofluorescence (IF) – Cat# MBS9600977

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-VCL antibody

MBS9600977 at 1/100 staining human Heart muscle tissue sections by IHC-P. The tissue was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The tissue was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.

NCBI Summary for VCL

Vinculin is a cytoskeletal protein associated with cell-cell and cell-matrix junctions, where it is thought to function as one of several interacting proteins involved in anchoring F-actin to the membrane. Defects in VCL are the cause of cardiomyopathy dilated type 1W. Dilated cardiomyopathy is a disorder characterized by ventricular dilation and impaired systolic function, resulting in congestive heart failure and arrhythmia. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene, but the biological validity of some variants has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for VCL

Actin filament (F-actin)-binding protein involved in cell-matrix adhesion and cell-cell adhesion. Regulates cell-surface E-cadherin expression and potentiates mechanosensing by the E-cadherin complex. May also play important roles in cell morphology and locomotion.
