BRISC complex

Component of the BRISC complex, a multiprotein complex that specifically cleaves 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin, leaving the last ubiquitin chain attached to its substrates .

Below are the list of possible BRISC complex products. If you cannot find the target and/or product is not available in our catalog, please click here to contact us and request the product or submit your request for custom elisa kit production, custom recombinant protein production or custom antibody production. Custom ELISA Kits, Recombinant Proteins and Antibodies can be designed, manufactured and produced according to the reer's specifications.

BRISC complex subunit Abro1

Also known as BRISC complex subunit Abro1 (Abraxas brother protein 1) (Protein FAM175B).
FAM175B: a protein of unknown function.

Protein type: Ubiquitin conjugating system

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10q26.13

Cellular Component: centrosome; cytoplasm; midbody; spindle pole centrosome

Molecular Function: microtubule binding; polyubiquitin binding

Biological Process: attachment of spindle microtubules to kinetochore; chromosome segregation; mitotic cell cycle

BRISC complex subunit FAM175B

Also known as BRISC complex subunit FAM175B (BRISC complex subunit KIAA0157 homolog).
Component of the BRISC complex that specifically cleaves 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin, leaving the last ubiquitin chain attached to its substrates (PubMed:26344097). Does not have activity by itself, but the catalytic subunit BRCC3/BRCC36 needs to be associated into a heterotetramer with FAM175B for minimal in vitro activity (PubMed:26344097). May act as a central scaffold protein that assembles the various components of the BRISC complex and retains them in the cytoplasm (). Plays a role in regulating the onset of apoptosis via its role in modulating 'Lys-63'-linked ubiquitination of target proteins (). Required for normal mitotic spindle assembly and microtubule attachment to kinetochores via its role in deubiquitinating numa1 ().
