Helicase ARIP4

Also known as Helicase ARIP4 (Androgen receptor-interacting protein 4) (RAD54-like protein 2).
DNA helicase that modulates androgen receptor (AR)-dependent transactivation in a promoter-dependent manner.

Helicase IV

Catalyzes the unwinding of duplex DNA in the 3' to 5' direction; this reaction is dependent on the hydrolysis of ATP.

Helicase POLQ-like

Also known as Helicase POLQ-like (Mus308-like helicase) (POLQ-like helicase).
HEL308: DNA-dependent ATPase and 5' to 3' DNA helicase. Belongs to the helicase family. SKI2 subfamily. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: EC 3.6.4.12; Helicase

Cellular Component: nucleolus; nucleoplasm

Molecular Function: single-stranded DNA-dependent ATP-dependent DNA helicase activity

Biological Process: DNA metabolic process; double-strand break repair via homologous recombination

Helicase sen1

ATP-dependent 5'->3' DNA/RNA helicase required for the expression and maturation of diverse classes of non-protein-coding RNAs like precursor tRNAs, rRNAs and small nuclear (snRNA) and nucleolar (snoRNA) RNAs. Directs RNA polymerase II transcription termination on snoRNAs as well as on several short protein-coding genes. May also play a role in transcription-coupled nucleotide excision repair ().

Helicase SKI2W

Also known as Helicase SKI2W (Ski2) (Helicase-like protein) (HLP).
SKI2W: Helicase; has ATPase activity. Component of the SKI complex which is thought to be involved in exosome-mediated RNA decay and associates with transcriptionally active genes in a manner dependent on PAF1 complex (PAF1C). Defects in SKIV2L are the cause of trichohepatoenteric syndrome type 2 (THES2). A syndrome characterized by intrauterine growth retardation, severe diarrhea in infancy requiring total parenteral nutrition, facial dysmorphism, immunodeficiency, and hair abnormalities, mostly trichorrhexis nodosa. Hepatic involvement contributes to the poor prognosis of affected patients. Belongs to the helicase family. SKI2 subfamily.

Protein type: EC 3.6.1.-; EC 3.6.4.-; Helicase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6p21

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: ATP-dependent RNA helicase activity

Disease: Trichohepatoenteric Syndrome 2

Helicase SRCAP

Also known as Helicase SRCAP (Domino homolog 2) (Snf2-related CBP activator).
SRCAP: Catalytic component of the SRCAP complex which mediates the ATP-dependent exchange of histone H2AZ/H2B dimers for nucleosomal H2A/H2B, leading to transcriptional regulation of selected genes by chromatin remodeling. Acts as a coactivator for CREB-mediated transcription, steroid receptor-mediated transcription, and Notch-mediated transcription. Defects in SRCAP are the cause of Floating-Harbor syndrome (FLHS). A rare genetic disorder characterized by proportionate short stature, delayed bone age, delayed speech development, and typical facial features. The face is triangular with deep-set eyes, long eyelashes, bulbous nose, wide columella, short philtrum, and thin lips. Belongs to the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family. SWR1 subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Acetyltransferase; DNA-binding; EC 3.6.1.-; EC 3.6.4.-; Helicase; Transcription, coactivator/corepressor

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p11.2

Cellular Component: Golgi apparatus; nucleus; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; protein complex

Molecular Function: histone acetyltransferase activity; protein binding; transcription coactivator activity

Biological Process: regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter

Disease: Floating-harbor Syndrome

Helicase ssl-1

Also known as Helicase ssl-1 (Swi/snf2-like protein 1).
Probable catalytic component of a chromatin-remodeling complex which mediates the ATP-dependent exchange of histone H2A variant H2AV/htz-1 for H2A, leading to transcriptional regulation of selected genes by chromatin remodeling. Involved in foregut development, and may be involved in vulval development.

Helicase SWR1

Catalytic component of the SWR1 complex which mediates the ATP-dependent exchange of histone H2A for the H2A variant HZT1 leading to transcriptional regulation of selected genes by chromatin remodeling.

Helicase swr-1

Also known as Helicase swr-1 (Chromatin remodeling factor 1-1).
Catalytic component of the SWR1 complex which mediates the ATP-dependent exchange of histone H2A for the H2A variant H2A.Z leading to transcriptional regulation of selected genes by chromatin remodeling.
