Other Notes

Small volumes of AQP-2 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Searchable Terms for AQP-2 purchase

MBS2515840 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the AQP-2, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing AQP-2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2515840 kit is based on AQP-2 antibody-AQP-2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect AQP-2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, AQP-2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for AQP-2

This gene encodes a water channel protein located in the kidney collecting tubule. It belongs to the MIP/aquaporin family, some members of which are clustered together on chromosome 12q13. Mutations in this gene have been linked to autosomal dominant and recessive forms of nephrogenic diabetes insipidus. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]

UniProt Comments for AQP-2

AQP2: Forms a water-specific channel that provides the plasma membranes of renal collecting duct with high permeability to water, thereby permitting water to move in the direction of an osmotic gradient. Expressed in renal collecting tubules. Belongs to the MIP/aquaporin (TC 1.A.8) family.
