Other Notes

Small volumes of CD86 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS825025 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the CD86, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CD86. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS825025 kit is based on CD86 antibody-CD86 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CD86 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CD86. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for CD86

CD86: Receptor involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T-lymphocyte proliferation and interleukin-2 production, by binding CD28 or CTLA-4. May play a critical role in the early events of T-cell activation and costimulation of naive T-cells, such as deciding between immunity and anergy that is made by T- cells within 24 hours after activation. Isoform 2 interferes with the formation of CD86 clusters, and thus acts as a negative regulator of T-cell activation. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Immunoglobulin superfamily; Membrane protein, integral

Cellular Component: cell surface; intracellular membrane-bound organelle; membrane; integral to membrane; plasma membrane; external side of plasma membrane

Molecular Function: receptor binding

Biological Process: negative regulation of T cell anergy; B cell activation; immune system process; toll-like receptor signaling pathway; positive regulation of T cell proliferation; positive regulation of activated T cell proliferation; defense response to virus
