Product Name
LYN, Recombinant Protein
Full Product Name
Human LYN Recombinant
Product Gene Name
Product Synonym Names
LYN ; JTK8
Host
Insect Cells (Host protein expression may be lot-specific and can be subject to change during production, including bulk orders)
Form/Format
Recombinant Human LYN was lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered 20mM Tris,50mM NaCl, pH 8.0, 0.5mM PMSF.
Purity/Purification
>95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20 degree C.
Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

ModBase 3D Structure for P07948
Domain
SH3,SH2
Host Note
DNA sequence encoding extracellular domain of Human LYN to a N-terminal GST tag was expressed in Insect cells.
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Molecular Weight Note
Recombinant Human LYN is a monomer consisting of 736 amino acid residue, and migrates as an approximately 75 kDa protein under reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.

Other Notes

Small volumes of LYN recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for LYN

This gene encodes a tyrosine protein kinase, which maybe involved in the regulation of mast cell degranulation, and erythroid differentiation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2011]
