Form/Format
The protein (1mg/ml) was lyophilized after from a sterile solution containing TBS pH-7.5, 0.1% BSA and 0.09% NaN3.
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity/Purification
Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized RAP Rat although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18 degree C.
Upon reconstitution RAP Rat should be stored at 4 degree C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 degree C.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Special Note
Ligand binding to RAP is Ca2+ dependent and e.g. lipid receptors can be released from RAP by a buffer containing 10mM EDTA. Furthermore, buffers containing phosphate should be avoided (it would form precipitates with Ca2+).
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized RAP Rat in sterile 18M Omega -cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Other Notes

Small volumes of rRAP recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Searchable Terms for rRAP purchase

You need rat receptor associated protein now. Mybiosource has what you need - rRAP 1 expressed from E coli cell expression systems, purified and ready to use. Recombinant proteins, whether RAP 1, growth factors or viral antigens, are our specialty. Our recombinant antigens are useful in generating bovis, human or rat antibodies to conserved domain regions. When paired with other reagents, they can form a DIY ELISA kit. If you have individual genome requests, our resources are available to help engineer your protein of interest like receptor protein RAP 1. NCBI Summary for rRAP

Protein contains putative RNA binding domain. Expressed in response to Pseudomonas syringae infection. Resistance requires silencing of AtRAP suggesting it functions as a negative regulator of plant disease resistance.

UniProt Comments for rRAP

RNA-binding protein required for chloroplast 16S rRNA maturation, an important process which supports chloroplast gene expression and biogenesis. Binds to 16S rRNA precursor and is involved in its 5'-end processing (PubMed:24585838). May act as negative regulator of defense response against bacterial pathogens (PubMed:18003861).
