Other Notes

Small volumes of TERF1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Searchable Terms for TERF1 purchase

MBS2515690 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the TERF1, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing TERF1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2515690 kit is based on TERF1 antibody-TERF1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TERF1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TERF1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for TERF1

This gene encodes a telomere specific protein which is a component of the telomere nucleoprotein complex. This protein is present at telomeres throughout the cell cycle and functions as an inhibitor of telomerase, acting in cis to limit the elongation of individual chromosome ends. The protein structure contains a C-terminal Myb motif, a dimerization domain near its N-terminus and an acidic N-terminus. Two transcripts of this gene are alternatively spliced products. UniProt Comments for TERF1

TRF1: a telomeric repeat binding factor. Binds the telomeric double-stranded TTAGGG repeat and negatively regulates telomere length. Colocalizes with telomeric DNA in interphase and metaphase cells and is located at chromosome ends during metaphase. Involved in the regulation of the mitotic spindle. Expression is tightly regulated during the cell cycle; levels are low in G1 and S phase and increase during G2 phase and mitosis. Two splice variant isoforms have been described.
