Catalytic activity: Hydrolysis of polypeptides, preferably at -Xaa-|-Arg-Lys-, and less commonly at -Arg-|-Arg-Xaa-, in which Xaa is not Arg or Lys.

Cofactor: Binds 1 zinc ion per subunit
