Supply Chain Verification
Manufactured in a lab with traceable raw materials manufactured on site. Coordinated product portfolio of antibodies, pairs, conjugates, recombinant proteins, and immunoassay materials available, please inquire.
Immunogen
A synthesized peptide derived from human ADCY3,corresponding to a region within C-terminal amino acids.
Similarity
The protein contains two modules with six transmembrane helices each; both are required for catalytic activity. Isolated N-terminal or C-terminal modules have no catalytic activity, but when they are brought together, enzyme activity is restored. The active site is at the inter face of the two modules.Belongs to the adenylyl cyclase class-4/guanylylcyclase family.
ISO Certification
Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Laboratory.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-ADCY3 antibody
Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes for anti-ADCY3 antibody
WB: 1:500-1:2000
IHC: 1:50-1:200
ELISA(peptide): 1:20000-1:40000

IMPORTANT: For western blots, incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% w/v milk , 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween®20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-ADCY3 antibody

Western blot analysis of ADCY3 expression in Rat olfactory epithelium lysate; Rat frontal cortex lysate, The lane on the left is treated with the antigen-specific peptide.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-ADCY3 antibody

MBS9603885 at 1/100 staining Mouse lung tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.

NCBI Summary for ADCY3

This gene encodes adenylyl cyclase 3 which is a membrane-associated enzyme and catalyzes the formation of the secondary messenger cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP). This protein appears to be widely expressed in various human tissues and may be involved in a number of physiological and pathophysiological metabolic processes. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]

UniProt Comments for ADCY3

Catalyzes the formation of the signaling molecule cAMP in response to G-protein signaling. Participates in signaling cascades triggered by odorant receptors via its function in cAMP biosynthesis. Required for the perception of odorants. Required for normal sperm motility and normal male fertility. Plays a role in regulating insulin levels and body fat accumulation in response to a high fat diet.
